We had a normal winter here in Extremadura, with low rainfall that didn’t hinder the beginning of the cycle, while the spring – mild and rainy - was very favourable for the progress of the vines. The key time, however, was the summer, with cooler weather than normal and especially a notable difference between daytime and night time temperatures, thus encouraging a slow maturation of the grapes.
